My early focus was on oil painting and I later transitioned to painting with pastels,  acrylic, collage and mixed media.  I now focus on painting with watercolour.  I have had the pleasure of studying under a number of well-known artists, both in Canada and the United States.

While I still enjoy doing realistic depictions of flowers, landscapes and animals, I have progressively gravitated toward abstract painting over the past several years because of the freedom it provides me to express myself in the painting, and the freedom the viewer has to interpret the painting.  I am a signature member of the Georgia Watercolor Society and have had paintings juried into several art shows in Georgia and Ontario, and have won several awards, including:

• 1st and 3rd Prizes in the Georgia National Fair Art Show
• 2nd in the Kudzu Art Zone show
• 1st in the Cambridge Art Show
